Host Healthcare 10 Year Anniversary FAQs
If you live +200 miles from San Diego, you will fly into San Diego early on Wednesday, October 5 to make it in time for the kick-off meeting and leave on Saturday, October 8.
If you live outside of San Diego County but within 200 miles, plan to drive to San Diego on Wednesday, October 5 and arrive by noon to make it in time for the kick-off meeting and leave on Saturday, October 8.
If you live 200+ miles from San Diego or outside of San Diego County, Host will pay for your hotel starting on Wednesday, 10/5 through Friday, 10/7, with check-out on Saturday, 10/8.
If you live in San Diego County, lodging will not be provided.
If you are driving to the resort on Wednesday, October 5 please arrive by noon. This will give you enough time to pre-check in at the front desk and be on time for the Q4 Kick-Off meeting.
Check-in starts at 4:00pm and check-out is at 11:00am. At check-in you will be asked to present a valid government-issued ID along with a credit or debit card for incidentals.
*For those arriving early on Wednesday, October 5, early check-in has been requested. The resort does not guarantee early check-in; however, you can still visit the front desk to start the pre-check-in process and to drop off any luggage. Once your room is available you will receive a text or phone call to let you know your room is ready.
If your room is not ready for early check-in on Wednesday, you can leave your luggage at the front desk while the resort prepares your room. We will have a workspace in the Garden Room, located in the Paradise Point event center starting at 7am until 3pm with. Lunch will be available in the Sunset Terrace from 11:30am – 1:00pm on this day. Wifi will be available throughout the resort + workspaces. Bathrooms are also available throughout the property if needed to freshen up.
To fully experience the events planned and have the chance to meet each other, plus ones will not be invited to events on Wednesday and Thursday. Plus ones will be invited on Friday, October 7 for the 10 Year Anniversary Celebration happening in the Paradise Ballroom from 7PM-11PM. Unfortunately, no. We’re working with a corporate travel agency that will coordinate with you to book your flight.
The deadline has passed for locals to reserve rooms at the group rate. You can visit https://paradisepoint.com/ to book a room directly.
If you live 200+ miles from San Diego, you do not need to take PTO for your travel time to San Diego on Wednesday, 10/5, however, you are expected to complete the workday if you arrive during business hours. If you choose to not work on Wednesday, you will need manager approval to take PTO.

Workspace will be provided at the resort on Wednesday – Friday as outlined below.
- Wednesday, October 5: Workspace available from 7AM – 2PM: Garden Room

- Friday, October 7: Workspace available starting at 7AM: Sunset Ballroom
If you are local and would like to work at the resort, please feel free to stop by before the day sessions on Thursday + Friday. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to meet everyone at the start of the day sessions.
Yes! There is complimentary day time parking on the property. Carpooling and ride sharing is heavily encouraged for those attending the events. If you are staying at the hotel and will be driving over, there will be a parking spot available for you outside your room once assigned covered by Host.
Yes! In accordance with government per diem allowances for the city of San Diego a $23 breakfast stipend per day will be provided to those staying at the resort. The stipend will be added to your paycheck prior to the event. Lunch will be available in the meeting space that’s reserved for people to work in during the day and dinner will be available at our evening events.
Yes! Host is partnering with Lyft to provide a stipend up to $100 per person to use for transportation to and from the hotel. The stipend will be emailed to your Host email account prior to the 10 Year Anniversary to only use during the week of the celebration.
Yes! Locals that live within San Diego County will receive a $50 Lyft stipend to use during the week. The Lyft stipend will be emailed to your Host email account prior to the event.
Gas will be reimbursed up to $500 for those driving from outside of San Diego County to and from the resort from your home address at the current IRS standard mileage rate. Please SUBMIT HERE for your reimbursement after the 10 Year Anniversary. A picture of your odometer before starting the drive and after starting the drive will be required in the form submission.
Vaccines or negative covid tests will not be required for the event. While masks will not be required during the event, they will be available for anyone who chooses to wear one along with hand sanitizer stations. As always, this policy is subject to change based on local conditions at the time of the event.

At this moment, there will be no formal office set-ups. Please be sure to bring your laptop and charger to the working space.
Host employees are required to attend the daytime Host Huddle Day Sessions and the Q4 kick–off meeting that will be taking place during work hours in the Sunset Ballroom at Paradise Point Resort & Spa. If you are unable to attend the day sessions, please contact your manager right away and inform them of the reason for not attending. We strongly recommend everyone to attend the evening events, but they are voluntary. We hope to see everyone there at all the events! 😊
Yoga mats will be provided for attendees along with water and towels on a first come, first served basis. If you have your own yoga mat, please feel free to bring your own to the class.
