Congratulations to our featured traveler Ashley, our traveler of the month for April! Her recruiter Brendan nominated her dedication to her profession and Host Healthcare. She’s a prime example of one of our great travelers.
Here’s what Ashley’s recruiter Brendan had to say about working with Ashley:
“Ashley has done an outstanding job and is an asset to Host Healthcare! She is very smart and a lifelong learner, evident in the numerous degrees she’s earned I have very much enjoyed getting to know Ashley and her family over the past year. I look forward to continuing to work with Ashley!”
We asked Ashley seven questions about traveling with Host Healthcare…
Q: If you could have one super power what would it be and why?
A: If I could choose one super power, it would be to fly! I chose this because I love to fly airplanes (single engine), and would love to do this without being enclosed in a cockpit.
Q: What has been your favorite experience since you have been traveling?
A: Meeting new people, and learning something from them everyday!
Q: What has been one of your favorite places/spots you have visited while on assignment?
A: Roanoke, VA
Q: What made you want to try travel nursing?
A: I was looking for something a little different, and I had heard through co-workers that travel was exciting and interesting at the same time.
Q: What was one thing you were scared of before your first assignment and how did you combat that?
A: The unknown is always a frightening thing to face, a new place, new peers, new protocols, etc… I just decided that I was going to be myself, keep an open mind, and and do my best to help whenever and wherever needed, and keep a positive attitude! And it has worked!
Q: What is your guilty pleasure after a long day at work?
A: A Whopper Meal from Burger King
Q: What is one word that sums up your recruiter, Brendan?
