Congratulations to our featured traveler Jack Castellano. Our featured traveler Jack Castellano is a Travel Therapist and is our featured traveler of the month in June 2016.
Some words from his recruiter, Dianne:
“Jack always has a great attitude and is a pleasure to work with. I have gotten to know him and his family over the last year and he is not only a caring and experienced PT, but also kind, generous and caring in his home life.
Jack’s experience has allowed him to excel and bring strength to the places he has visited, and has allowed him to share his experiences to other therapists. I am thankful to have such a great traveler working for our company.”
We asked him to answer a few questions for us…
Q: If you could have one super power what would it be and why?
A: I have ski-dived, and that is as close to flying that I think I shall come.
Q: What has been your favorite experience since you have been traveling?
A: I enjoy teaching to caregivers and staff members and sharing knowledge with other staff members on treatments to help our residents excel.
Q: What has been one of your favorite places/spots you have visited while on assignment?
A: Mammoth Cave in KY was a great time — Largest Cave in the USA! Got to crawl through tight spots and see incredible sights.
Q: What made you want to try travel therapy?
A: My three children are grown and out of the house and my wife wants to move, so I thought this would be a great way to explore the country and see what is out there before we move permanently and get to know people in the area.
Q: What was one thing you were scared of before your first assignment and how did you combat that?
A: I was worried about finding a place to stay for only 13 weeks. I started looking for and RV that was small enough to live in but big enough for my wife and I to travel once I found a place that my wife and I would love to live. We finally found the right one and now any place is home!
Q: What is your guilty pleasure after a long day at work?
A: I enjoy a long bike ride on my bicycle; quiet time alone and being out with nature.
How would Jack sum up is recruiter?
Q: What is one word that sums up your recruiter, Dianne?
A: Astonishing! She keeps in touch with me and seems to know when to call me and keep me up to date with everything that I did not even know that I needed to know!
