Featured Traveler of the Month Jenna
1) If you could have one super power what would it be and why?
The Power of Healing. After all, isn’t that why we are all in the medical field?
What’s Been Your Favorite Travel Experience?
2) What has been your favorite experience since you have been traveling?
Spending four months in Hawaii was incredible. This was my first travel assignment and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My whole perspective on life changed. I learned to live more, to worry less and be present in each and every moment. I saw more sunrises, sunsets and rainbows than in a lifetime. I met friends who have become like family. I went surfing, skydiving and completed some unforgettable hikes. It was truly an experience of a lifetime.
What’s The Best Place You’ve Visited?
3) What has been your favorite places/spots you have visited while on assignment?
Getting to explore the different Hawaiian islands while on assignment in Oahu, along with the breathtaking beaches and hikes. Maine and Acadia National Park were beautiful as well.
4) What made you want to try being a travel nurse?
I have always loved to travel and have taken trips by myself in the past. This is a great way to combine my love for travel and my nursing career.
Any Travel Fears?
5) What was one thing you were scared of before your first assignment, and how did you combat that?
Probably leaving behind the life I knew for so long and my family and friends. The best thing for me, I found was to just embrace the opportunity wholeheartedly. See and do as many things as you can in each new city. Take advantage of learning at new hospitals. I think traveling alone makes you more vulnerable, in a good way. You put yourself out there, meet more people, and surprise yourself of just how much you are capable of.
How Do You Unwind After A Busy Day?
6) What is a guilty pleasure after a long day at work?
A glass of wine and a good sunset. There’s nothing better
How Would You Describe Your Recruiter?
7) What is one word that describes your recruiter, Nash?
AWESOME! We work really well together and have gotten some great assignments!
